Regular financial giving of tithes and offerings to support the work of the local church is one way in which we worship God-- whether contributions are placed in the offering plate, sent by mail, or through an online service; all should be done worshipfully.
For those who prefer to thoughtfully and prayerfully contribute through a secure online service, gifts can now be made as either a one-time donation or recurring basis through the church website or the EasyTithe app for mobile devices. Here's how:
Online Giving Frequency Asked Questions
What is Online Giving?
Online Giving is an easy and convenient way to support the ministries of Hamilton Square Baptist Church. The benefits of Online Giving include the convenience of being able to give from anywhere and anytime that is convenient for you, not having to write checks and the ability to set up recurring donations so you don’t miss an opportunity to give when you are away from the church.
How Does Hamilton Square's Online Giving Work?
1. From the website- contributors click on the link that takes them from the church website to a secure donation page hosted by EasyTithe.
2. From a mobile device- go to your app store and download the EasyTithe app. Open an account or sign in to your exisiting account if you already have one. Giving is self explanatory from there.
One-time gifts (no profile required)
A contributor simply enters his or her name, address, payment method, payment amount and other information into required fields and then submits a donation.
Recurring gifts (profile required)
On the first visit to the donation page, a contributor creates a password-protected profile by entering his or her name, address, payment method and other required information before setting up a recurring donation. On future visits the contributor simply logs in to make, change or view donations without the need to re-enter personal profile information. Recurring payments can be set up as weekly or monthly.
For both methods the donors sees a printer-friendly confirmation page and may also request an automatic email confirmation.
What payment methods are offered at Hamilton Square?
Our online donation page accepts e-Check, Debit Card and Credit Card offerings.
How secure is online giving/payments?
As required by the PCI Security Council and all processing banks, EasyTithe is a Level 1 Certified PCI Compliant Service Provider. This means EasyTithe conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry. Your account managers, end users, and EasyTithe employees will never have access to the type of sensitive information that would otherwise lead to an unauthorized transaction.
EasyTithe uses 256 Bit SSL technology for data transactions. All personal, credit card, and bank information is submitted using 256 bit encryption. There is no stronger form of protection than this encryption and by doing this, the possibility that someone might "tap" the line and extract your personal data from it is eliminated. 256-bit SSL encryption has never been broken and according to RSL Labs, it would take a "trillion-trillion years" to crack the code using today's technology.
How can I keep track of my online giving?
The giver will receive an email after each transaction with the transaction amount given and the fund to which it was made. In addition, a record is kept of all your transactions in your EasyTithe settings which can be accessed at any time, anywhere.
Is there any charge or fee to me for this service?
No, there is no charge to the donor. You select the dollar amount for your giving. That is the dollar amount that will be charged and your entire donation is tax deductible. The church pays a nominal fee to EasyTithe for the convenience and security of the service.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, there is a mobile app provided by EasyTithe making online giving easier and faster than ever. Go to the app store and type in easytithe, download the app for free and follow the prompts. The EasyTithe mobile app makes giving convenient when away on business or vacation anywhere and at any time.
