The Summer Sacred Music Festival is a two-day opportunity for musicians who love the Lord to get together for the purpose of fellowship, personal musical enhancement, and outreach through a sacred music concert.

The festival begins Friday evening July 28 at 7 p.m. for a two hour rehearsal. This time will be used to get to know the directors and become familiar with the music selections we will be performing.

The festival continues bright and early Saturday morning, July 29 at 9 a.m. We will begin with breakfast and getting to know one-another, followed by rehearsals for the choir and the orchestra. Lunch will break up the day and give the musicians a chance to catch their breath before returning to rehearsals. The day will end with a Sacred Concert at Hamilton Square Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m. and ending around 4:30 p.m.  This will give us the opportunity to present what we've learned the past two days and exhibit God's love and beauty through music to the surrounding communities of San Francisco.

The day will end with a reception in the lower auditorium where we can meet and greet guests and grab some refreshnment before heading home.

The rehearsals and concert schedule are as follows:

Friday, July 28         7:00-9:00 PM
Saturday, July 29      9:00-2:30 PM

Saturday, July 29      3:00-4:30 PM (reception to follow until 5 pm- optional)

Do not park on Franklin St. along side of the church until 7 pm Friday evening. Your car will be towed if you park on Franklin St. anytime between 4-7 pm. Parking on Fanklin St. after 7 pm is free and safe. Otherwise, read the signs posted where you park. Saturday parking is metered, but they do take credit cards or you can use an app ("Pay by Phone" is my favorite) to keep the meter happy. Metered parking is free after 6 pm. Also, never leave items in the car that can be seen through the windows. SF is one of the most notorious car break-in cities in the country. Put all items which you are not brigning with you in your trunk. We can not over emphasize this.

To register for this event please go to our registration page or click here for a pdf version of the registration page. Print it out, fill it out, and send it to the address provided along with a check to cover all who are participating with you. The fee for the first three participants in your family is $20 per participant and $10 per participant thereafter. The fee covers your music scores, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and refreshments following the concert.

Childcare can be made available upon request. We are happy to provide mature adults to provide for the care of your child(ren) during rehearsals and the Saturday concert. Just let us know how many children you will be bringing and their ages.
